Traditional Baked Apples

Ingredients:
4 *Apples for baking (reference apple chart http://www.nyapplecountry.com/appleusage.htm)
1/3 cup brown sugar
1T. cinnamon
½ cup chopped walnuts (pecans or almonds other options)
Chocolate covered or plain raisins
Mini marshmallows
Butter
**Dried cherries, chopped
½ cup water
2 T. sugar

**Other dried fruits such as apricots, dates, cran-raisins, etc. are all options, use what is in your cupboard and what you like.

Lets Cook:
Remove core from apple, leaving about ½ from bottom. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon. Set out all other ingredients you have chosen to stuff apple with such as: chocolate covered raisins/raisins, nuts, dried fruit, etc. Have kids, family, and guests, stuff their own. Dot the tops w/a bit of butter and top off with a mini marshmallow! Place in pan w/about ½ cup water mixed with 2 T. sugar. Cover and bake for about 30-40 minutes until tender but not mushy.
